A day in a battery power plant
Charge when power is abundant. Feed in when it is scarce.
Sun and wind deliver sometimes too much power, sometimes too little. The storage system balances it out – and that is exactly where its value comes from.

Night: little wind, no sun – the storage system waits.
Morning: the sun rises, the wind picks up – supply increases.
Midday: power in abundance, prices below zero – the storage system charges.
Afternoon: the sun is setting – the storage system is full.
Evening: no sun, little wind, high demand – the storage system feeds in.
Night: the city is supplied, the cycle begins again.
Schematic illustration of a typical day with high wind and solar generation. Not a forecast and no statement about revenues.
The concept – simply explained
Many storage units become one virtual power plant.
Networked and centrally controlled
The battery storage units are installed in groups at suitable locations and digitally networked. A central control system monitors them and deploys them according to the market and grid situation.
Store power, trade it smartly
The storage units take up power when market prices are low and feed it back in when prices are higher. This principle is called power price arbitrage. At the same time, battery storage makes the power system more flexible.
Professional operation
ECO-PARK organises monitoring, operation, maintenance and trading together with specialised partners. You invest in a specific storage unit, lease it to ECO-PARK and leave operations to a professional system.
Trading on the power markets
Trading takes place on the day-ahead and intraday markets, among others. Charging and discharging are optimised based on expected market developments; in future, balancing power (FCR, aFRR) and other ancillary services will be added.
The energy transition creates opportunities
Why storage is becoming ever more valuable.
With the expansion of solar and wind power, the electricity market is changing fundamentally. When generation is high, prices fall sharply; when it is low and demand is high, they rise again. In 2025, Germany saw 573 hours of negative day-ahead prices – more than in any year since 2015.
The calculated negative market value of electricity in these hours reached around €368 m in 2025 and already around €430 m in the first half of 2026. This is exactly where power price arbitrage comes in.

Market assessment
A market in fundamental transition.
The growing volatility of power generation increases the need for flexible storage capacity. The economic assessment takes into account output and capacity, cycles, efficiency, battery ageing and the development of power prices.
Growing flexibility
Battery storage absorbs power flexibly over time and sells it when market conditions are right.
Power price arbitrage
Growing price gaps between cheap and expensive periods create opportunities.
Virtual power plant
Networking decentralised storage enables central control and joint trading.
Multiple revenue streams
Besides day-ahead and intraday trading, balancing power and ancillary services are possible in future.
Market potential
As renewables continue to expand, demand for storage is expected to keep growing.
Uncertainties
Actual revenues depend on power prices, market volatility, regulation and technical developments, among other factors.

Technology and operation
Compact storage on existing commercial sites.
The storage units are installed on suitable existing sites and integrated into the power grid. The modular concept allows several units per site, digitally networked into one large storage system and centrally controlled by the control-room software. We check permits and technical requirements in advance for each site; grid connection and commissioning are carried out by qualified specialists.
Technical monitoring and control
Coordination of maintenance and service
Monitoring of operating data
Optimisation of charging and discharging
Trading of available storage capacity on the power market

The investment model
Clearly structured. Professionally operated.
You acquire your own battery storage unit as a movable asset and receive contractually agreed ownership of it. ECO-PARK is your central point of contact for the entire organisation and processing.
01
Purchase agreement
for your battery storage unit – a specific asset with contractually agreed ownership.
02
Lease agreement
ECO-PARK leases the storage unit at a fixed annual rate. Market-related fluctuations are borne by the operator.
03
Trading and operation
by ECO-PARK: monitoring, maintenance, insurance, power trading and commercial processing.
Profitability and earnings potential
Revenues come mainly from trading on the power market. Intelligent control, automated trading strategies and high utilisation make it possible to benefit from power price fluctuations; in future, revenues from balancing power (FCR, aFRR) will be added.
Earnings assumptions on an independent basis
The underlying earnings assumptions are based on market analyses and scenarios by the independent energy consultancy enervis. Terms, contract model and risk notes can be found in the exposé.
Transparency
Risks and important notes.
We deliberately chose a lease model to keep the risk for investors as low as possible.
Risks on the operator side
Market price risk: fluctuations in power prices affect revenues. Regulatory risks: changes to market rules and legal requirements may affect trading. Technical risks: outages or repairs may occur.
What you should know as an investor
Your lease income depends on ECO-PARK, as lessee, making the contractual payments. Please review your tax and financial situation with an independent tax, financial or investment advisor before making a decision.
Conclusion: the concept creates a flexible, future-oriented infrastructure to integrate battery storage economically into the changing energy market – technically, commercially and operationally well thought through.
